The traditional Kingdom of Benin is located in Benin City, Edo State inNigeria. It is a traditional monarchy and the Benin Traditional Council is the governing body (see theirwebsite).

Red is the also the predominant colour in the Kingdom's coat of arms, with the emblem on the flag forming part of the detail in the shield (the symbols of of the Kingdom can be seen in the followinglink).
